Anthology Pop Up

Durbanites, if you haven't already been there, then take a swing past Windermere Centre to explore the gorgeous new pop up shop, Anthology.

Occupying the space of the previous Food Lovers Market you'll find a light, airy, spacious pop up shop selling a collection of carefully curated items, from gorgeous 'pre-loved' clothing to inspiring art and tasty macaroons. 

The vibe is relaxed yet sophisticated, the clothing old and new, the decor fresh and clean and the art is seriously cool. (I've got my eye on this flamingo piece that I'm just begging to bring home...)

The store will be open until January so be sure to swing past before it moves on.
  

Pretty Pantry

Yes, our apartment may have a few dirty dishes as I type, and Danes golf clubs are still sitting at our entrance from this afternoon, but I do really enjoy order and neatness. As an avid baker I insist on keeping my cupboards pretty tidy and arranged, so that at a glance I know what I have, what I am running low on, and what I am all out of.

When I came across these printables form Elephant Shoe I was overjoyed as I now no longer have lots of bags all half full and pegged closed, but rather I recycled jars with happy little sticker labels. (In an ideal world these would all be lovely consol jars but being on a budget, cleaned coffee and pickle jars have to do)

I printed the nameless tags and just wrote on what each jar contains.

From Pickles to Petals

I love collecting Jars. I just can’t bring myself to throw them away. I use them for storage, sorting and now for décor too.

In a few quick brush strokes, turn basic glass pickle jars into pretty vases.

I recently painted the soles of my heels, so with my left over paint, primer and modge podge I started having some fun on my spare jars.

What I used:

Primer

Paint

Modge podge

First the jars had to be cleaned and stripped of the nasty glue.

I then painted them with primer. To be honest, I don’t know whether I needed to, but I had some left over and figured that I might as well use it. 

Once dried, I painted 2 layers of acrylic paint.And then once that was dry I painted with modge podge just to give it a glossy finish. 

Lastly I pulled out my washi tape and had some fun wrapping it around the jars.
